Kurve – Modern Pink Retro Restaurant in New York by Karim Rashid

Karim Rashid has designed a modern pink retro restaurant located in New York that was dubbed as the “Kurve“. The kurve restaurant interior was designed in spherical and curvy shapes with pink color just like what Karim Rashid wants it to be: an organic, flowing space. Pink has been used as a way of symbolizing positivity, creating a strong identity, and to that effect gradients of pink are splashed on the walls as well as the ceiling. Swirly lines of hot pink line the side walls, along with oval mirrors that magnify the space.

The main concept of this Kurve restaurant is how to make another world for an evening dinner, ovaloid-shaped windows, sinuous walls and booths, soft organic lounge chair, white glass communal table, ceiling-to-floor amorphous bar these are beautiful stuff that gives the guests a hyper visual experience. Kurve restaurant also offers special menu that combines Eastern and Western ingredients and techniques.

The new technology was applied to this kurve retro restaurant interior space via the cameras placed over the bar. The cameras take imagery of people at the bar, and then an algorithm takes the real images and abstracts them in the hidden monitors behind the oval mirrors. They then become artistic video shows. The Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas Pool Suites by Chemical Spaces

This is truly an excellent interior remodelling ideas of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas which become a part of the resort-wide remodel that has done Las Vegas design firm, Chemical Space. The designer was commissioned to design several pool suites such as the miami blue suite, gorilla suite, punk rock suite, and tree line suite intended to accommodate VIP guests of the resort.

The suite were build with each suite boasting a unique theme/motif by the local designer Mark Tracy to cater to Hard Rock’s young, hip, and music-oriented guests. The suites each walk out to the newly-designed Hard Rock pool and bring a new element to the Hard Rock resort.

MIAMI BLUE SUITE
The main idea was to create a party suite with a modern, airy, Miami feel. The primary feature is a giant Cshaped bed lined with blue, imported Italian tile. LED rope lighting and mirrored toe-kicks beneath the bed create the illusion that the bed floats above the floor. Laid-out like a party lounge, a solid-surface DJ table in “Milk Glass” foregrounds the second most noticeable feature: a wall of turntables and jam boxes framed in LED-lit alcoves. Additional features include custom-designed minimalist furniture, a custom, color-matched rug produced in Sweden, floor-to-ceiling sheers, sconce lighting, and mirrored ceiling niches. The primary challenge was a demanding timeline, having been hired late in the construction process.

GORILLA SUITE
The design concept of this suite was to create a dark twisted take on a library/cigar bar. The design features Wenge wall paneling cut into custom shapes and divided with silver, metal striping. The metallic-silver porcelain wall tile contrasts with the rich hardwood floors and gives the suite a modern feel—but the bronze mirrored ceiling, croc-skin custom furniture, and giant hand-painted wall murals of girls and gorilla make this a distinctly dark, savage, sexy urban jungle.

PUNK ROCK SUITE
The intent of the Punk Rock Suite was to create a London-style, punk rock party suite. Bands of recessed mirrors and hand-painted lines in every direction, hand-painted wall murals, and spot lighting on the walls and ceiling pack the room with movement and action. Stone-like grey wall tiles, black hardwood floors, custom modern furniture and a custom, hand-made Union Jack rug complete the London underground feel.

TREE LINE SUITE
The concept of this design began with the concept of creating a hotel room with the illusion of a two-story tree line in the center. Starting from this feature, the hand-picked colors of tree branches were the basis for the color scheme for the rest of the room. Hardwood floors complement the nature motif. Cream walls of textured tiled anchor each side of the room. To create contrast and clarify that this space is still a party suite, a rich blue band spanning from wall, to ceiling, to wall, divides the room down the center. The blue mural features hand-painted smoke in dark blue, leaves and skulls in metallic gold, and LED rope lighting to illuminate the art.

Sosushi modern sushi bar interior in Torino, Italy by USU

This Sosushi modern minimalist interior store is a unique and extravagant sushi bar located in the city center of Turin in Italy. The store was designed by an Italian based architectural office, UAU. The architects have transformed the old stationery store into a very cool and fashion oriented sushi bar with 45 sqm constructed area located in the historical urban city of Turin, Italy.

The architects succeed in transforming this sushi bar interior space referring to the minimal tradition of contemporary architecture with the help of clean cut shapes emphasized by matte white finishing and furniture details colored magenta where a deep research on structure and shapes contribute to define a project where each detail is really not just left up to chance. The new Aesop Singapore Store by March Studio

This elegant and eco-friendly Australian skincare brand Aesop Singapore Store was designed Melbourne architects March Studio. The architects have hung 30 km of coconut-husk string from the ceiling creating a full ceiling lighting fixture of a new Aesop store in Singapore.

The new aesop store interior in singapore was inspired by the twine used to tie the company’s gift boxes. The store interior design also features somber materials such as coir matting for the carpet and marine plywood for the storage unites. The Description of this Oaza Zdravlja Pharmacy project by Karim Rashid :

The architectural forms and weight of this space reference the beautiful intricacies of the human body and healing process. Through the use of soft flowing walls and organic shapes a sense of comfort and security is immediately established. Framed by the sweeping curvature of the walls, a simple, yet powerful counter elegantly hovers above the ground plane. This form is symbolic of the journey medication takes through the body’s cellular framework. Beyond this emblematic expression, the organic counter is also the literal location that provides the medicinal means to recovery and relief.
